Making Headlines

In 2017, we were selected to participate in Historic Kenwood’s 19th Annual Bungalowfest. This tour showcases the architecture, style, & the homeowners of the neighborhood. Approximately 700-800 guests toured our home before we started our conversion to a Bed & Breakfast. In 2019, we returned to the 21st Annual Bungalowfest Tour as a proper Bed & Breakfast. We were so surprised to see so many people return to the tour just to see our complete B&B.
In November of 2018, we graciously donated our home to “The Grand Mingling”. This
culminating event finished a fundraising series called Dining for Arts, which raised money to
support Historic Kenwood’s Public Art Fund. We were also featured in the Gulfport Gabber
article highlighting The Grand Mingling Event.
The Kenwood Gables Boutique Bed & Breakfast was nominated for “Best Adaptive Re-Use of a Property” in February 2019 by Preserve the Burg aka The St. Petersburg Preservation Society. This volunteer organization has been working since 1977 to secure the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, and maintenance of important natural, scenic, historic, and architectural sites and structures in the St. Petersburg area. We were honored to have won the award the following month at the formal award ceremony.
Also in March 2019, we participated in two separate home tours. The first, was in support of the Artist Enclave of Historic Kenwood and the second, was for Preserve the 'Burg.
Furthermore, we have been awarded top marks by several of the industry's leading travel sites. TripAdvisor has awarded us their coveted Travelers Choice Award for 2021,2022,2023, 2024 & 2025 consecutively - making us part of the top 10% of properties worldwide and also 5 years in a row! In addition, Booking.com has given us a 9.8 to 9.9 out of 10 by their customers and they have also awarded us their Travellers Choice Award for 2021, 2022, 2023, & 2024. Also, on Google Business reviews we have had 5 Stars consistently since our opening in 2019.
In September 2025, we were nominated for Select Registry's "Best Craft Lodging in the Regional Southeast (USA)". Although we did not win, we are so honored to have been nominated for the award. This distinction has confirmed that our hard work, passion, and dedication are being noticed by our guests.
We are so proud of this business we have built and to also be part of this growing and thriving city and community. We love to show all our visitors why we love St. Pete and the and the Tampa Bay area.
